I haven't been painting and drawing since middle school. I have had no art education or training.
I like working with charcoal, acrylics and soft pastel for drawing/painting.
I also like sculpting with steatite (soapstone), wicker basket making and soldering copper wire models.
I experimented with several materials during fine arts therapy: oil pastels, crayons, ecoline (ink), soft pastels, charcoal, graphite, acrylics and gray chalks.
The combination oil pastels with ecoline (ink) was interesting. Watercolour is not my thing. I am too impulsive and impatient. I did one assignment with it during therapy, and that was enough for me.
Crayons is not for me either.
Acrylics is fun, fast and easy to correct.
Soft pastels is great, when you have the right type of paper.
Charcoal, graphite and regular pencils are my favourites. I hardly ever correct anything.
